Christmas at St. Paul’s

Come Worship with Us!

The Week of Christmas

Soon, we will enter the most joyous week of the Christian year—The Feast of the Nativity, Christmas. This is the time when journey with Mary and Joseph, pilgrims on the way, as they welcome the Christ-child, Emmanuel, “God with Us.” Here are our parish offerings for any and all this Christmas season:

Children’s Nativity Pageant - December 21
Holy Eucharist 10:30am in the Church. The 8:00am service will meet as usual.

The Advent Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols - December 21 at 5:30 pm.
On Christmas Eve, 1918, the Chaplain of King's College, Cambridge took a Cornish Christmas tradition and brought it to the world. Weaving together biblical readings with seasonal music, the service prepared participants to hear the announcement of the birth of Jesus Christ. Join us as we carry on this beloved tradition at St. Paul’s for one of our favorite services of the year.

Christmas Eve - December 24
The Eve of the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ 5:30 pm.

Christmas Day - December 25
The Feast of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ 10:00 am.

Each of these services offers a unique encounter with the living God, and I pray you will make every effort to be present as we journey together as we await the coming of Christ.

What we believe

All are Welcome

With the vows and promises made at baptism, we commit our lives to the beliefs set forth in the Apostles’ Creed and how those beliefs are lived out. We commit to worshipping together, seeking and serving Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves, striving for justice and peace, and respecting the dignity of every human being.

St. Paul’s is a home for everyone. We welcome all those who wish to join the sacramental life and leadership of this church regardless of age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical ability,  citizenship, or marital status.

Whoever you are, and however you arrive, you are welcome here.

Grow in Faith

St. Paul’s enjoys active Christian Education and Youth programs, and a wide variety of lay ministries and organizations are open to you. On Sunday mornings and throughout the week you will have a chance to explore many opportunities for formation.

We celebrate Holy Eucharist each Sunday in the church, and offer various weekday activities throughout the week and season.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Journey Together

At St. Paul’s, we are all made better because of each other. We love Jesus, we worship, we enjoy life together, and we care for the world God loves and all our neighbors in it. We are rich in tradition, but not stuffy. We are deeply rooted, yet open-minded. We welcome all, but we will challenge you to grow. We are a community of disciples learning to follow Jesus together.
